Responding by Email
We have made some enquiries with the council and they have confirmed that email responses to the Regulation 19 consultation are possible but you have to use a form for each comment submitted.
The reason given is that the Planning Inspector requires responses and consultee details in a particular format.
The offline form is effectively the same as the online form you have to use when responding via the Commonplace portal.
You can attach additional files (as Word or pdf) to the email with your completed form.
If you use the offline form you ewill either need to complete using a suitable pdf editor and email it to the council. Or print it, complete it, scan it and send in by email. To be honest, using Commonplace might be the best option. It is certainly what the council would prefer, and potentially easier.
