Spatial Options to Delivering Growth
This is a crucial matter as it address where development could take place.
The first question requires a number of spatial options to be put into an order of importance. We suggest;
The reasons being that brownfield urban land should be prioritised for development and be optimally used before expanding existing urban areas or villages into the Green Belt, or creating new settlements in the Green Belt. Furthermore, it makes good sense to use existing strategic transport corridors to avoid the need for major and costly new road infrastructures to support or give access to new development in currently rural or isolated areas.
With regard to the following question about Other themes, we have nothing more to offer on this. The primary themes have been captured in this section but please comment if you can see something we have missed.
With regards to the the question requiring a pin to be dropped on a map, we suggest putting the pin in any field and stating in the box below that the pin relates to all Green Belt land and not a specific location, and such land should be avoided for development.
