The team at local company VERTEXpictures has produced this fantastic -but sombre viewing - video showing all of the major sites for proposed housing around Billericay; mapped out with the boundaries too. Seeing it like this and not just on a two-dimensional map, really brings home the sheer scale of development being proposed and you can draw your own conclusions as to what the ramifications will be on local infrastructure that is already struggling with the existing demands.

To ensure that any development that does take place is sustainable, with adequate infrastructure and prioritises local needs. We support the need for a new Basildon Local Plan and the need for more housing. But it must be of the right number, the right type and in the right places to best help local people obtain a home of their own.
