before houses are built there must be schools, doctors, shops, car parks, suitable roads, leisure facilities a police station etc etc and the trains are already packed. I find it disgusting that a few men and woman can sit and make the decision the ruin beautiful green belt land, land that nature has taken hundreds of years to grow, I get so angry what gives them the right to concrete over this countryside. There are lots of places to build houses that does not encroach on green belt land it is just harder and more expensive to do Comments are closed.

Aims of BAGTo protect the Green Belt around Billericay and elsewhere in Basildon Borough from loss through excessive and unjustified development.
To prevent the character of our historic towns from being changed forever. To ensure that any development that does take place is sustainable, with adequate infrastructure and prioritises local needs. We support the need for a new Basildon Local Plan and the need for more housing. But it must be of the right number, the right type and in the right places to best help local people obtain a home of their own.
