Several BAG representatives attended the Basildon Borough Council meeting last night (07/01/16) regarding the revised Local Plan and whether it was ready for public consultation.

Billericay received many mentions, in part due to all of the good work that BAG and local residents have undertaken to ensure they remain heard. Keep up the good work.

The Council agreed to put the Local Plan out for consultation at the end of January 16 for 8 weeks.

As soon as we know, BAG will provide further details regarding the consultation timetable, how you can have your say and related news as well as further BAG analysis of what the local plan means for Billericay and you.

Should builders be obligated to provide a new junior and senior school in Billericay before they are allowed to build any new houses? I would suggest yes. I understand the Junior schools in Billericay are already at bursting point. Basildon Council should get the infrastruction in place before approving any property plans.
