I have lived in Billericay all of my 58 years & have seen many changes. Mostly due to over building so therefore over population. A lot of the green belt areas have already gone to housing development so I am all for protecting what we have left.

I strongly believe that these houses will be a big detriment to Billericay.

We will not be as able to meet the demands of the children needing schooling once the population grows!

Unless there are some serious infrastructure changes and this pre-thought I can't see how Billericay will cope with an additional 1,700+ houses. It's easy to put up the houses but what about the community and the people that live in the town and those proposed to live there? Has nothing been learnt from all the other housing estate disasters. And why do we even have the term green belt if it's all just ignored and built on any way?

Billericay is bursting, there are no classroom spaces, the roads are congested at rush hour (takes me at least 25 minutes to travel a mile), the parking is full. Where exactly are the resources for all the extra people? how is such a small town going to cope? Comments are closed.
