The local Schools already have to make cutbacks due to a lack of Government funding and are straining with the current levels of pupils not to mention the Doctors and Dentists which are oversubscribed. So will there be extra investment put towards these services that are already a breaking point?

Kennel lane often suffers severe flooding due to only 4 houses already being having been built on that side of kennel lane a few years ago. What measures would be put in place to prevent this happening with this size of development? In addition as per martins comments the schools are already over subscribed and services at capacity.

That's way the builders have said they will update the drainage so they can get the planning passed 😡

The flooding isn't due to the three houses built in 2007. But due to miss management of the land behind kennel lane by the land owners over the last 5 years. Three houses don't make a road flood

This would be an environmental and social disaster. As per the comments above there is regular flooding on these fields not to mention too much traffic especially at school times. The area is already heavily populated and there is simply not the infrastructure to cope with yet more houses!

A notice had gone up for planning permission to improve and update the water drainage system. This seems like the first step to any building to be given the go ahead. If they can sort out the flooded fields then they can pass the planning permission for the 70 houses to be built there 🤔

The hospitals, doctors, schools etc are struggling to cope with the current population how do the local councils propose to serve the additional incomers?

Only 70 houses, going by past form it looks unfortunately like 70 would be the tip of the iceberg for that amount of land.
