21/4/2017

On Thursday 4th May 2017 we will be voting to elect Councillors to represent Billericay and Burstead Division on Essex County Council.
There are 9 candidates for 2 seats.
Billericay Action Group, Billericay Society and Billericay District Residents’ Association asked each of the candidates the following 3 questions:
  1. What are your views on number and type of homes that should be built in Billericay and Burstead to meet the specific housing needs of the area you will represent?
  2. Do you agree to the significant proposed erosion of Green Belt around Billericay & Burstead?
  3. Will you do all that is within your powers to ensure that Essex County Council provides adequate infrastructure improvements in good time (before or during development) to meet the scale of housing provision that is finally agreed in the Local Plan?

There is some poor English in some of the replies as well as the usual waffle and point scoring from the candidates. I had to laugh at objectively assed needs!
